Ingredients
4 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon white pepper
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
½ teaspoon garlic powder
1 (4 pound) whole chicken
1 onion, quartered
Instructions
Pat chicken dry with paper towels, place in a stoneware or covered dutch oven. Stuff the onion inside of the chicken. Mix all of the spices and rub on the outside of the chicken. Bake at 275 degrees for 4 hours, the meat should fall right off the bone.
