Pretzel Christmas Crack

Apr 11, 2025 ·

Jump to Recipe·Print Recipe

Warning…There is NO stopping and no self control when I make this. There are two kinds of Christmas crack, the one with pretzels and one with saltine crackers, well this one is the best, hands down.

Easy to make and the whole group can dig in. It can also be broken into pieces for cookie trays, or gifting. Everything you need to make this is at this link.

Warning…There is NO stopping and no self control when I make this. There are two kinds of Christmas crack, the one with pretzels and one with saltine crackers, well this one is the best, hands down. Easy to make and the whole group can dig in. It can also be broken into pieces for cookie trays, or gifting.

Ingredients

Scale

One half bag of pretzels, broken

1 cup of butter

1 cup of light brown sugar

1 12 oz bag of chocolate chips

sea salt

Sprinkles

M & M’s to sprinkle on the top.

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees, line a jelly roll pan with foil or parchment paper.

Cover the pan with a layer of broken pretzel pieces.

In a small saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat. When the mixture starts to gently simmer and bubble, let it cook that way for 3 minutes without stirring.

Pour the mixture over the pretzels. Bake for 5 minutes.

Immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips over the hot pans, wait a couple of minutes until the chips start to melt, then spread the chocolate over the toffee. Sprinkle with sea salt. Add sprinkles and M & M’s over the top!

Let cool then dig in.
