Ingredients
1 cup butter, softened to room temperature
3/4 cup confectioners’ sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 teaspoon peppermint extract
2 and 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup crushed candy canes (about 3–4 regular-size candy canes)
Coating
1 and 1/4 cups confectioners’ sugar
Instructions
Combine ingredients, then refrigerate for 30 minutes. Using a cookie scoop, place walnut size balls on a tray lined with parchment.
Bake at 350 for about 15 minutes. Roll in powdered sugar. Then let cool for 5 minutes, roll in powdered sugar again for the second coating.
