Recipe:
Cake: 1 cup plus one TBSP of butter softened
6 oz cream cheese softened
2 1/4 cups sugar
6 large eggs, room temperature
3/4 tsp vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups cake flour
Frosting: 1 cup of sugar
1/3 cup of evaporated milk
1/2 cup butter, cubed
1/2 cup chocolate chips
sprinkles are optional
Instructions
Directions: In a large bowl, cream the butter, cream cheese and sugar until light and fluffy, 5-7 minutes. Add eggs one at a time beating well. Beat in vanilla, add flour until well blended. 2. pour into a greased 15x10x1 inch sheet pan or baking dish. Bake at 325 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until the center is done. Completely cool on a wire rack. For the Frosting: In a small saucepan, combine sugar and milk. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Cover and cook for 3 minutes. Stir in butter and chocolate chips until melted. Cool slightly, then stir and spread over the top of the cake. Top with sprinkles for extra yumminess.
