Homemade Swedish Meatballs
This recipe is one of my favorites for making swedish meatballs, it takes a little effort, but is so delicious and incredibly good in the winter months. This comfort food series is going to be one of my favorites!
Ingredients
ecipe: (watch for assembly directions)
1 pound ground hamburger
1 pound of ground pork
2 eggs
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 cup of bread crumbs
1 tsp garlic cloves
4 Tbsp Parmesan cheese
1 cup of bread crumbs to roll meatballs in.
Start oven to 350 degrees.
Mix above ingredients together, make into walnut size meatballs and roll in breadcrumbs.
Fry in a little bit of butter until brown, then put into oven for 15-20 minutes.
Sauce for the Meatballs:
2 cups of beef stock
2 Tbsp of flour
1 cup of heavy cream
1 Tbsp of Worcester sauce
1 tsp dijon mustard
4 tsp butter
Melt butter into the pan with a few drippings from the meatballs. Add the flour and whisk. Add beef stock and cream, mustard and worchester sauce. Simmer 5 minutes.
Add meatballs back into the sauce and simmer for just a few minutes.
