Easy Taco Bake with Crescent Rolls

  • Author: Sweet Tooth Sara

Description

A delicious easy dinner for weeknights! The crescent roll crust paired with traditional taco meat and a warm creamy sauce creates a wonderful meal and its even kid friendly.

Ingredients

Scale

1 can crescent rolls

1 package taco seasoning

1/2 cup taco sauce (I use Ortega)

1/2 cup black olives (omit if kids hate them)

2 lbs of hamburger

1 (12 oz) sour cream

2 1/2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese.

Toppings: shredded lettuce, tomatoes and more taco sauce.

Instructions

Brown hamburger, after browned add package of taco seasoning and the 1/2 cup of taco sauce. Stir. Remove from heat.

In a 8×10 inch pan or 8×8 if you are halving the recipe, open the crescent rolls and form as the crust, push up over the sides just a little bit.

Pour the hamburger mixture over the top of the rolls, then add black olives if you choose.

In a separate bowl, mix sour cream and egg and a dash of salt and pepper.

Mix and pour over the meat mixture. Place cheese on top.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Serve with chopped lettuce, tomatoes and more taco sauce.
