In my comfort food series, this one is a keeper. This dinner recipe, is my favorite beef (sirloin) in a creamy sauce that can be served over egg noodles or mashed potatoes! It is comfort food and so yummy!

Ingredients

Scale

1 1/2 pound sirloin beef tips, cubed to 1-2 inch pieces. Flank Steak works too.

1 container of mushrooms, cut small

1 onion

1 Tbsp of Flour

1 can or 2 cups of chicken broth or beef.

2/3 cup sour cream

1 Tbsp dijon mustard

24 Tbsp butter

1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce

Egg Noodles or Mashed Potatoes

Instructions

Season steak with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, add some butter to sear the steak, add steak to the pan and cook for a few minutes until both sides are a little brown. Remove steak from pan.

In the same pan, add more butter and saute the onions and mushrooms for about 8-10 minutes.

Add flour to the onions and mushrooms, then whisk in the chicken broth. Add mustard and worcestershire sauce and sour cream. Add steak back into pan and cook on medium until the steak is medium inside.

Spoon over egg noodles or mashed potatoes for a hearty meal.
