This is one of my favorite breads, a yummy banana bread with a thick swirl of cinnamon sugar. Its like a hug in a loaf of bread. It’s almost like dessert with the sweet cinnamon sugar and iced drizzled topping. I serve this with breakfast and also sneak some for after dinner snacks!

Cinnamon Swirl Banana Bread

Ingredients
Recipe:
1 cup mashed bananas (about 2)
1/2 cup melted butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
3 Tbsp milk
Cinnamon Swirl:
1/4 cup of sugar
2 tsp of cinnamon
Icing:
1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar, sifted
1 Tablespoon heavy cream or milk
1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Instructions
Mix bananas, butter, sugar and egg, beat with electric mixer for 2 minutes. Add dry ingredients and milk until well blended about one minute. In a separate bowl, mix swirl ingredients together. Pour half on the batter into greased and floured loaf pan, then spoon the cinnamon swirl mixture over the top, then add the second half of the batter. Using a spoon, swirl ONE time through the batter. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour. Let sit at least 20 minutes after mixing and before baking to prevent crack on top of cake. Mix icing and drizzle over the top.
