Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of flour
  • 1/2 cup well mashed bananas about 11.5

Caramel Icing:

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 Tbsp cream or milt
  • 1 cup of powered sugar

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 8×8 pan.

Beat the butter and brown sugar together, then beat in egg and vanilla.

Mix in the mashed bananas, then add the flour. Don’t over mix, just mix enough to combine.

Spread into pan and bake for 26-30 minutes, testing to make sure the center is done.

When the bars are cool, make the frosting.

In a saucepan on the stove, melt butter, brown sugar and milk or the cream, whisk nonstop until the mixture comes to a boil. Turn off the hear then add the sifted powdered sugar. Whisk until there are no lumps.If it is thin, you may need to add a little more powered sugar.

Spread it on the bars quickly, it sets up very fast.
