This is the final video in my holiday baking series. I hope you enjoyed all 64 recipes! This one is my daughters favorite! This recipe comes from a Pie Shop in Northern MN that is a iconic tradition for most to stop at when visiting the North Shore. Betty’s Pies makes the BEST pies for those traveling through. This recipe is from this cookbook(my favorite cookbook I own): https://rstyle.me/+FaISzPie8GnprAPsjHMy9w

Ingredients

Scale

Recipe:

1 9 inch baked pie shell

1/2 pound of butter

2 cups of powdered sugar

2 Tablespoons of vanilla extract

2 squares (1 oz) unsweetened baking chocolate

4 extra large eggs

Instructions

Whip the powdered sugar, butter and vanilla together for 5 minutes. Melt 2 squares of bitter chocolate and add to the sugar butter mixture and beat for 5 minutes. Add 4 eggs, one at a time, beat for 5 minutes after each addition. After adding the last egg, beat for 8 minutes. Pour into a baked pie shell and refridgerate. Top with whipped cream.

Note this does contain raw eggs and MUST be refrigerated. Please be careful with food safety. This pie is intended to be eaten quickly.
