This is a really yummy bread for spring and summer. If you have extra strawberries that are almost past peak, this is a perfect way to use them up.

Strawberry Walnut Bread
This is a really yummy bread for spring and summer. If you have extra strawberries that are almost past peak, this is a perfect way to use them up. I love the texture and taste of this bread! Ingredients
1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp cinnamon
pinch of nutmeg
2 eggs
3/4 cup mashed strawberries
1 mashed banana
1/2 cup oil
Instructions
Grease a loan pan. Sprinkle 1/4 cup of nuts in the bottom of the pan. In a large bowl stir together flour, soda, cinnamon and nutmeg, Combine remaining ingredients and add to dry ingredients. Stir just until moistened. Stir in the remaining nuts. Spoon batter into loaf pan.
Bake at 350 for 55-60 minutes.
